The Big Jump or How to exhaust 45 youths in 90 minutes

For a group of 45 students from years 6-10 this year’s Wintersports-event has been a special experience.

In the morning of January 31st we all met at Winnenden station to take the train heading to Stuttgart. At Sommerrain we got off and after a short walk we finally arrived at the Sprungbude – an indoor trampoline fun park.

After one of the instructors had checked the consent forms of everyone, we were handed special jumping socks to avoid slipping on the trampolines. Another instructor explained all the risks and rules to us so that none of us would get hurt or injured.

The place owns an extra hall full of 1sqm trampolines. On the sides are two longer jumping areas to practise flic-flacs and such. At the end of the hall there is a tilted wall to jump against which was a challenge for mostly the teachers J

A group of us stayed in the dodgeball-area the whole morning where they tried to throw softballs at each other while jumping on trampoline lanes.

Another great experience was the huge air pillow on which you could let yourself fall from about two metres. For the basketball fans there were also lanes to jump forward and then right up to dunk the ball into the basket.

When our jumping time of 90 minutes was over and the majority was all worn out, we packed our bags and went back to the station. It was great fun!

We highly recommend a class / school trip to the Sprungbude as there is something to do for everyone and if you need some rest from jumping around, there is also enough space to just sit down and have a snack or drink.
